i am new here and would love some answers or hope! i am at the end of my rope. my ds was diagnosed with MSPI at 2 months and has been struggling with a feeding aversion ever since. we had our first GI appt almost 2 weeks ago and he had blood in his stool- and again this week- one week after being on the neocate. dr. thinks he has allergic colitis due to the milk allergy?? he changed him to neocate but our son is having an even harder time accepting bottles, i suppose because of the taste. everyday is a struggle, and i have a 22 month old on top of things, who is very jealous lately that mommy is spending so much time trying to feed her baby brother. our ds takes about 20-25oz a day, up from 15-20 when we first found out about the MSPI, etc. the GI thinks he might have silent reflux, as well, but doesn’t think his big issues are from that, more the allergy. anyway- i would love some ideas on how to get him to accept bottles or if anyone else knows about allergic colitis, or would love success stories of neocate, etc. i just need some hope and reassurance right now. ds goes back to the dr. in 2 weeks. the doctors keep telling me that most grow out of the MSPI and that it should get better??? oh-also- my son is on prevacid 7.5mg once a day. thank you!!!
