My bub has been on 5mg of Losec in one dose per day (omeprazole) for

2 1/2 wks now and if anything i think he is getting worse…. was sleep feeding well until a few days ago and now even that is a struggle . I was reading MARCI kids site and was just astounded to read the differrence in dose compared to what my bubs is on. My pead is on hols till Jan and i dont think i can hold out that long to see some improvement.

What doses hav you ladies seen improvement with?

poor bub probably is getting worse? if it’s liquid losec (called a compound), it’s probably not being made properly…and the dose, as you’ve mentioned is quite low…we saw some results at 3mgs per kilo of losec…eventually switched to prevacid…do you have any zantac (rantadine)? you can give that, too, spaced 4hrs from the losec…10mgs per kilo is the max dose of zantac…

I just spoke with the pharmacist and am confident in his making of the compund… and he said also that 5mg is not nearly enough and to give 5mg 3x perday…. so ill c how that goes
