I know that we are all from different places but does anyone know where I can find a white noise machine? What stores carry them? I know I can order online but I need one ASAP dont want to wait for shipping. If anyone knows please let me know. Thanks so much
We just use a humidifier for white noise. Both boys have them in their rooms & it definitely does the trick. We got ours @ Babies R Us, but you can get them anywhere. My mom actually got 2 (one for each boy) @ Walgreens for $20 each & they work great. They’re just the Walgreens brand.
I have Soundspa Lullaby by Homedics for both of my kids. They have several different settings(heartbeat, ocean, rain, & 2 or 3 diff. lullabys), good volume, and timers if needed. It also has a projection light you can turn on/off w/3 different discs(cows jumping over the moon, rainforest, under the sea). I bought ours at Target. It’s much smaller than what I thought so I was pleasantly surprised. Both my kids love it! HTH!
I have a great white noise machine that I ordered online. I haven’t seen it anywhere other than online and in catalogs, but it is called a sleep mate. It is so small that I can take it with us when we travel and it doesn’t take up any space at all. It has worked wonders and was worth the wait when ordering. i think I paid about $60 over a year ago. Good thing is that you don’t have to clean it like you do a humidifier and there are no filters. Just a thought, may be worth the wait to order a good one online.
we have an old sony alarm clock cd player (cd player doesn’t even work anymore) that has sounds, too- ocean, etc…so maybe just go to a ‘mart’ (walmart, k-mart, target’ and look in the various sections- even the clock radio sections…
We used a radio on a staticy AM station, but trucker talk kept interfering . So we just got one last week at WalMart in the pharmacy section (by back and foot massagers). It was $12 or so. Very simple, about 10 noises and an optional timer that goes 60 minutes.
We use a $20 Holmes air purifier from Target. I got it in-store. It makes the perfect white noise and is good for getting allergens out of the air. It does take filters but a 3 pack of filters is fairly inexpensive. Maybe $15 and one goes a long way. From reading this thread, I realize how many ‘white noise’ options are out there! lol
