DD was officially labeled “failure to thrive” as she’s gained little more than 2lbs at 3 months old.
The good news is that this fast-tracks our Pedi-Gi referral and will help to get Neocate covered via insurance.
The bad news is – well it just sucks. We’ve been trying so hard to get calories in and keep them in and all we’ve gotten is 2lbs to show for it in 3 months time.
You are a great mommy and you have been doing all you can. This may be a blessing in disguise b/c you will see the GI quicker and not have to fight the ins company to get the neocate covered. She will come around, she is a fighter and has a great mommy who will fight for her as well.
I hope you get the formula covered. We ar ein a state where it is NOT madatory. JEdd was 100% tube fed and we were denied and our vast appeals were still denied. We have Anthem Healthkeepers. (blue cross)
