Her other meds have crapped out on us and shes been arching and squirming all day with only one 1.5 hour nap and a series of catnaps during her bottles.
Give me strength and pray the UPS man shows up with the bufferbabies tomorrow morning!
October 24, 2008 at 6:54 am #57981AnonymousInactiveI’m sorry to hear! Good luck- hope the night isn’t (or wasn’t- it’s 7am here) as bad as you anticipate.
I remember those days. Unfortunately, sometimes our CaraCream got held up at the border b/c they inspected it, and then we’d get charged $20 extra on top of everything for brokerage. If it’s UPS, you should be able to track where it is.October 24, 2008 at 9:22 am #57986AnonymousInactiveHang in there!!!!!!!

It was for her but thankfully I only had to work with her through half of it. I was relieved by Grandma at 3:30 am and got a chance for broken sleep (with a 6am ish wake -up to help.)
I haven’t received the UPS tracking number from David. He said he was going to send it but something must have happened. I emailed him about it last night but no response this morning – I assume he’s away from the office.
So we wait. It better show up today for the good of our sanity. I loose Grandma again today and will be on my own for the weekend.
October 24, 2008 at 2:29 pm #58000AnonymousInactiveHang in there Jennifer!
Talking to the folks over at Marci-kids, they said they send their packages via 1-2 day shipping so you should receive it relatively soon!!
I’m crossing my fingers for you that Bufferbabies does the trick. Keep us posted!!!
October 25, 2008 at 1:50 am #58011AnonymousInactivei know how you feel waiting for the BB!! I was the same way. Try contacting Amy (David’s assistant) she is prompt and sooo helpful:
[email protected]October 25, 2008 at 7:44 am #58012AnonymousInactiveI hate UPS with a passion that will now never die. They didn’t show up yesterday and we’ll be suffering all weekend for it. If yesterday sucked today is an absolute disaster.
She’s slept all of 1.5 hours broken tonight and arched and struggled every waking hour she didn’t have a bottle in her mouth.
And I spent an extra $20USD for them to fail at getting us the shipment within 3 days. I’ve never been impressed with them and now every bit of anger and frustration I feel is directed squarely at that incredibly inept delivery service.
Thanks to them there will be no end in sight until monday.
October 25, 2008 at 1:36 pm #58031AnonymousInactiveJennifer-so sorry that you are having such a bad time! I can’t do anything for you but send you good thoughts and add you and Janna to our prayer list.
However, once you get the meds and it’s all good-let me know. I’m a Texas Sicilian, I know how to shoot a gun, and I ain’t afraid of prison.October 25, 2008 at 2:50 pm #58048AnonymousInactiveJennifer–
are you giving her the capsules in the meantime–in a bit of pureed apple or pear? I’m not sure if you already are and it’s the wait time that’s making it worse…or if you’re also waiting for the actual PPI to arrive too(?)
do you have any zantac or even mylanta cherry supreme around? mylanta might give temp. relief.
I really feel for you.. Finn was also up all night wailing like he hasn’t wailed in 6 weeks b/c I introduced a new (and obviously wrong!) food to my diet last evening!!
Do you have any help? where are you? can you get some fresh air and a break for an hour or two?October 25, 2008 at 5:19 pm #58057AnonymousInactiveGot a near to two hour nap as my MIL is here taking care of Janna. She’s usually better during the day so she’s a little easier than at night and late afternoon.
All of this is still with two doses of Zantac at 1ml 2x day and two doses of compounded losec 2x day.
She’s only just three months old next week so I’ve shied away from using any kind of solid food otherwise I’d have tried the prevacid already. I thought about it lots lastnight but I’m still not sure what puree fruit would do to her so early ?
October 25, 2008 at 7:13 pm #58059AnonymousInactivei gave finn the prevacid that way when he was 4 months… but i think other moms have done it earlier(?)
you would only use a tiny tiny amount–basically just enough to get the beads of prevacid to slide down the throatOctober 27, 2008 at 6:33 am #58085AnonymousInactiveI’ve just opted to up her remaining doses of Losec to 10mg 2Xday (was doing 10mg 1xday which was useless)
