Are you using to help ease GERDS symptoms and do you think it helps?
I’ll start:
Massage
Sleep positioning 30deg
Feeding positioning 30 deg
Diaper Change table elevation 30deg
Baby carryng/wearing
Dr Brown’s Bottles
Hypo Allergenic Formula
Infacol to help bring up gas without effort
We
did thicken feeds a bit but I think she was a intolerant of the rice
cereal. Rice starch formula helped keep the contents down but she’d
still have silent reflux.
Any others? or any comments on something you’ve tried from the above that’s really worked/not worked for you?
It was meds meds meds for us as well. Almost nothign else kept any of it down EVER.
We did use an elevated bassinet and a crib matress. We also still have the changing table elevated. That actaully works…LOL We also don’t change his stinky until it’s been at least 30-45 mins after eating. IF we do it any earlier he most certainly will vomit. Touchy stomach from 2 years of almost constant puking.
Oh and he sleeps flat now. We had to give up the wedge because he woudl not stay on it…LOL He wiggled too much.
Breastfeeding was absolutly the best thing I did for my refluxer. If not for bf he wouldn’t have slept at all. I let him nurse all night long and before that he was getting such little sleep he was having tremors.
We also used a chrio. Like Laura it didn’t help the reflux, but did help the constipation issues.
Babywearing was a lifesavor. My lo slept very well on me. it was the only way I could go out and about without them screaming their heads off.
