hi everyone–
i keep mentioning this in my posts, so i thought i’d offer a little more explanation…
NAET (Namburipad Allergy Elimination Technique) basically eliminates
allergies by manipulating meridian points on the spine in the presence
of the allergen. The practitioner uses muscle testing (kinesiology) to
test whether various substances propose a problem for the patient. To
them an allergy is defined as any sensitivity (or block in the energy
flow of the body).
Here is the website: http://www.naet.com/subscribers/what.html
scroll down on that page to the ‘questions’ section–there’s better information there. ..it
sounds out there, i know– but i came across it (about 7 years ago) when going to a chinese
medicine doctor who practiced it. she healed my environmental allergies
among other acute illnesses with it. She also worked on my cousin’s
baby who had eczema, allergies , etc. and completely cleared it all.
she was my primary dr. for 5 years before i moved. at my last
appointment i met a previously ‘colicky’ baby she treated who once had
mucousy diapers, the works– it worked quickly for her. she saw
improvement after a couple of weeks of treatment. finn’s could take a
bit longerThe
key though, is to find a good practitioner. when i moved, i went to a
dr. that didn’t help me at all. my original dr. told me to use the
‘find a practitioner’ option on the NAET website. there it lists what
trainings the practitioner has attended. you want to make sure that
they have attended recent advanced seminars and that NAET makes up the
majority of their practice. There are plenty of ‘alternative’ medicine
practitioners out there who mean well, but just don’t have the
experience and knowledge. I would also ask if they’ve treated infants
successfully. (when they treat infants they actually use you as a
surrogate which makes the whole thing seem even more out there)…i
like my dr. b/c she is extremely scientific and knowledgable about
nutrition, health, chinese medicine. i make her explain how it all
works and push her on points. for some of it, i just have to trust it.one
issue is that it is expensive (no insurance covereage). i actually had to borrow money from my
family to do it. but for me, it’s worth it. we moved back up to where
we used to live for a couple of months (for dh’s work…but also to do
the treatments)here’s another website that i found–he has good answers to questions:
http://www.drpopkin.com/index.php?catID=1&pageID=3267it’s not
for everyone, so i originally thought i’d wait until finn sees some improvement
before posting on it. …… -
