What was your experience on this medicine ? Im not sure if i spelt it correctly..

also, if you do a search (go to upper right hand corner of this screen and click on ‘search’ then when you are searching you can search ‘all forums’ and you can choose, on the right, to search from ‘6 months’ and ‘OLDER’ – I like to change it to ‘older’ to learn from all the folks who have come before & don’t post anymore bcse their babies are better)

anyway: reglan can have some scary neurological side effects. It is prescribed for Delayed Gastric Emptying. If baby does not have DGE then it is not needed. There is a TEST for DGE. also, even if baby DOES have DGE there are other medications such as e-myacin (sp?)

Yes, the side affects are scary but for us it was worth a try. Talk to the GI and see what they think. Alot of times they will try a motility med and IF they see a lessening of vomit they will kep the child on the med. and DX DGE.

You a hve to remember that the side affects are 100% reversible as long as you STOP the med once you notice the side affects.

The only side affect JEdd had was extreme crakiness.

It did work well for him, very well. We still DX it though jsut becasue I could NOT deal with a SCRAMING at the to pof his lungs abby 24/7.

BTW E0mycin is beign disc**tinued. Even if your pharacist tells you it isn’t he/she jsut ahsn’t been told yet.

The maker/distributor for the med is not going to be manufactureing it anymore.
