LANDEN IS OFF NEOCATE!!!!
He is drinking 100% vance’s darifree! (potato milk) and eating lots of fatty foods to make up for the lack of fat in it. But I LOVE that it has as much calcium as whole milk!!!I just don’t know where to begin thanking everyone on this amazing website. You have been my lifeline for the last 16 months!!! I’ve honestly been waiting to do this “hip hip hooray!” post for Landen, even though we’ve had him med weaned for months b/c we were still really struggling with his diet and trying to figure out what he could drink.We tried Cow’s milk (lactaid and whole organic), soy milk, rice milk and Oat milk. He had one failed milk trial after another and I gave him a nice LONG break before gearing myself up for what I thought would be another failed trial with the potato milk (vance’s darifree). But it worked!Another huge step for us was weaning completely from bottles. Because the neocate taste, Landen wouldn’t take it from a sippy at all. So we still had to hang on to those dr. browns. I am happy to say, I bagged up all of those Dr. Browns yesterday! Now all of his milk is in a sippy cup.
Like many of you have said before, I would love to thank each of you one by one, but I’d be so afraid I would leave one of you out. You are ALL amazing!!Oh, and the very ironic thing….after paying for Neocate out of pocket for sooo long. A law has been passed that will cover it for landen in October (in the state that we live) HA! Our luck, we don’t need it now.

I’m glad you’ve found something that works… & even better – he drinks it (in sippies!!)! One less thing to worry about. 
I know what you mean about waiting to post on “Hip Hip Hooray”… I find myself day-dreaming about what I will write when our time comes-lol.

I sort of feel like Landen and Cooper are “friends” even though they haven’t met each other YET! This is such a huge accomplishment and I am so very happy. Here’s hoping that we both get to post here again before the end of the month regarding those darn allergy tests!! I will be thinking about you next week with Kade.
Thanks Beth! I feel the exact same way about Cooper and Landen. I can just remember our first posts on this board kind of like it was yesterday. It didn’t seem like it’s gone so fast when we were going through the rough times, but for any mom reading it…this is proof that they REALLY DO outgrow this stuff!!! And yes, I know I won’t forget about Cooper on the 13th, I think Kaden and Cooper even have the same appt. time! And then poor Landen goes on the 27th! I hope we can all get more answers!
