I don’t want to jinx it…but…Dagney’s been med-free for over 2 weeks!! She hasn’t had any problems in that time, and for a long time before that (once we got the tomatoes out of her diet!) We went to the GI for a follow-up today, and she said it may be the last time we’d see her! She was very happy with Dagney’s progress (and growth by looking at the size of her thighs…), and said we can start moving to milk in a week or 2! I’m SO excited! At that point, once she’s fully on milk for a couple of weeks, we can trial tomato again and see what happens. The GI said Dagney may just have to be on a low dose of Axid each day if there’s still a problem with the tomatoes. We’re so happy and excited! (And it looks like she & Ben are once again on similar time-lines) YOu’ll be sure to hear once the regular milk starts and how that goes!!

July 29, 2008 at 9:27 am #54678AnonymousInactiveI was wondering how she was doing, Denise! I’m so glad to hear that everything is going so well.
Let us know how the milk trial goes. To be honest, I’m not totally sure Ben can really handle it at this point. He still has some refluxy days that really confuse me. We’re thinking of getting allergy testing done at his 2 yr. check up.Can you believe they are almost 2????July 29, 2008 at 9:50 am #54682AnonymousInactiveYAY Dagney! That is fantastic news!!! I hope the milk trial goes well! AWESOME!
July 29, 2008 at 1:54 pm #54709AnonymousInactiveThanks everyone!! We’re very excited, and keeping all of our appendages crossed too!
Naomi, I can’t believe they’re almost 2, our little babies!! The time has passed so fast!! Dagney’s going for allergy testing this Friday. I’m a little nervous, but we’ve cancelled twice already, so I guess this is it! We’re not sure about tomatoes right now, and although her blood test came back slight allergy to egg, she does fine with stuff like french toast and anything else with egg in it. She’s done fine whenever she’s had yogurt or if we’ve given her cheese, so i’m hoping milk is ok, but i’m not sure she’ll like the milk. She LOVES soy milk, and has been drinking LOTS of it lately, so I tried putting a little rice milk in with her soy this morning (maybe 1/4 rice to 3/4 soy), and she took 1 sip and said “I don’t want this. I want soy milk.” Then proceeded to refuse to drink from that cup the rest of the morning, I think she thinks I’m trying to trick her now! The milk conversion may be harder than I’d originally thought, but I can’t wait to do it!July 29, 2008 at 2:36 pm #54712AnonymousInactiveGreat update. I hope the allergy testing goes well as well as the transition to milk. Appendages crossed as well for you guys.
