Hi!! Just found out we are having a girl! Now.. to get started on those names!!
Here are a few either DH or I like.. just wondering what you guys thought!! Open to suggestions as well!!July 24, 2008 at 11:37 pm #54460AnonymousInactiveAll my friends are having girls! So exciting, kinda makes me want one!I was always into how the family names sound together, DH, Lauren, Shane, & Sienna. (my vote) I vetoed a lot due to that fact that a name didn’t sound good with ours. Also, some people are into the whole names all starting with the same letter.Griffin and Owen both end with that in or en sound so if we have another I think it will have to be the same.I also have that association problem. I know to many people and if they have that name, even if they aren’t a relative I don’t like to use it. We have this naughty little girl on our block named Kayla and so I don’t like that name. There is nothing wrong with the name and if I didn’t know her, I would probably like it. But you know the whole association of the name with her…….And I’m going on and on…. Thus why I didn’t have a name for either of my children until the week that they were born! I talked myself out of a lot of names.July 25, 2008 at 12:12 am #54462AnonymousInactiveYAYYYY for girls! I am partial to Kylie, its my dd’s name (Kylie Noelle). I’m like Erica, I didn’t have either of my kids names picked out until the VERY end. My mom told me they wouldn’t let me take them home without names (which isn’t true BTW). I also like Kaylee. Congrats!
July 25, 2008 at 8:12 am #54466hellbenntKeymastercongrats!
names are hard (but fun!)Maybe something to go w/ Shane? Like Sienna…do you ‘need’ a name from a particular cultural background (Irish?)or do you want to name after someone special?for example: I wanted to stay away from popular names and I wanted something biblical and I ‘needed’ to name after people…that’s just ME though…Simona? (going with the ‘S’)Susanna?July 25, 2008 at 8:33 am #54469AnonymousInactiveYay! HOW EXCITING!!!! I voted for Sienna! I like how it goes with Shane. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Girls are so much fun!
One of my top girl name choices is Lauren…but obviously you can’t choose that one!
July 25, 2008 at 8:34 am #54470AnonymousInactiveI voted for Michaela. I just like how it sounds. We had Cooper’s name picked out before we knew we were having a boy, we had one of each. Both family names, Cooper is actually “John Cooper” John after dh’s grandfather. And our little girl will/would be Caroline Harrison (Harrision) is a family name on dh’s side and my mom’s first name is Carol and my dad’s middle name is Carl so it kinda hits on both.. but I do think the name Caroline is beautiful for a girl as well and it sounds good with Shane too. sorry to Ramble.
July 25, 2008 at 8:36 am #54471AnonymousInactiveso exciting! i voted for kayla, but mt favorite girl’s name is brooke…..
Congratulations!!!!July 25, 2008 at 12:57 pm #54480AnonymousInactiveSo exciting! I bet Shane will be a great big brother!! And your little girl will always have a big brother to watch over her.
I personally like Kayla, but they’re all nice!Amy – that’s funny, our second choice for a girl name, after Paige, was Lauren!July 25, 2008 at 1:01 pm #54482AnonymousInactiveWell, you can if you want to… I am a “junior”. My mother’s name is Ann Marie also…..
Quite a story for another day, but that was NOT supposed to be my name!July 25, 2008 at 1:11 pm #54483AnonymousInactiveOf course I voted for Mackenzie. 🙂 lol.
July 25, 2008 at 3:14 pm #54487AnonymousInactiveThe “K” names are pretty popular around here, and I’m one that likes traditional names too. But I think Michaela is a nice name. like Erica, I associate so many names with kids I know… and Michaela was one of the nicest students I had!
