Whihc works better?!? How long until Karo will work??? I gave it to my lo this morning with nothing yet. Does anyone think the prune juice will hurt her belly with the allergy discovery??

you sound so desperate! I don’t blame you. If you are worried about her belly, is there a children’s hospital near you? just take her to the ER. It sounds like you don’t trust your ped and it sounds like you need another opinion. I know you found a new ped, but that appoinment isn’t for another 2 weeks. your baby needs help now.

since your baby is on neocate and because you are worried about constipation and the suppositories are not helping then I would seek medical attention from somewhere else- the ER of a Children’s Hospital. You say you are in CT (from what I recall?). I bet there’s a children’s hospital not to far away. A visit might just give you some peace of mind.

as for the juice or the karo: it seems like her belly is in distress. I would go for mylanta cherry supreme. give 2mls and see what happens.

i agree with Laura. She is so very young and I wouldn’t do prune juice at this age at all. I would go to a hospital ER even if you can’t get to a children’s hospital ER any ER might do just for now to make sure something “big” isn’t going on. But try the cherry mylanta supreme. 2ml should be enough to get a good poop out of her and if not then I would seek medical advice ASAP.

Im not sure what could be done in the ER?? Her belly was already looked at by the on call ped Tuesday night and he wasnt worried….

Hello, I haven’t been on here in awhile but my son was on Neocate until he was almost 2 and we used dark karo in every bottle. The only bad thing we noticed is that after using karo he didn’t like his bottles without it.
