Well, first off, E was soooo constipated last night that I actually had to physically help get her poop out. It was horrible–she had a little tear and ended up bleeding. I had already given her some Milk of Magnesia in the morning, with no result, and gave her another dose last night (.5 tsp each time). I’m concerned it’s making a rash on her tummy flare, so I’m thinking maybe she should try Mirialax. What would be the right dose for a 20 lb. 6 month old?
Also, we’re off to see the ped. allergist today. E hasn’t been able to tolerate a solid yet. i know it’s early in the game, but I’d like to know if she does have an IgE allergies so we can completely avoid even trialing those foods.
While her diaper area is looking some better, she’s had a rash right below her belly button for over a month. It keeps spreading, despite trying an anti-yeast cream, an anit-fungal cream, and cream that’s supposed to treat impetigo. The Eucerin seemed to make it worse. The peds. keep thinking it’s related to a reaction to her diapers, so I just switched to 7th Generation, in a hope that it will be more hypoallergenic and to see if maybe she’s reacting to the latex or chemicals in the diapers.
ACK! I just want to get this figured out!!!
