Jacob has been spitting up clear fluids lately, not just formula. And he seems to be in pain afterwards.
What do you think it is?
I was trying to do a search and see if I could find anything online but didn’t have any luck.

sounds like acid…not to be gross, but if you want, you can taste it- to me it would taste like if you put your tounge on a battery (now why do we do these things, LOL?)- kinda metallic and acidy…not sure what medications & doses of medications he is on…

He is on Zantac~he gets 0.25ml 2 times a day.
At 2 months he was 10 pounds 12 ounces.
Not sure what he weighs now.

I am hoping that on Monday(when he goes to the specialist) we can get a different medicine.

My guess is that it is stomach acid as well. You might want to give him some Cherry Mylanta supreme during the day to help. He probably needs more Zantac but since you don’t know how much he weighs I am not sure. And Good luck getting a new/stronger med. Sounds like he needs it.

well, 10 lbs 16oz is 11lbs, so I’ll calculate for 11lbs.

11lbs = 5 kilos

5 x 10 [maximum dose per kilo for weight] = 50mgs total for the day

liquid is 15mgs/ml (check your bottle)

50 divided by 15 = 3.3mls total for the day

split this up however you want

2 doses of 1.7mls or

3 doses of 1ml

or however you want…

currently the dose is only .50mls a day-

you can increase it a lot!!
