Jacob started yesterday crying and fussing. The only way he would sleep was if I was holding him, so needless to say, I didn’t get anything done.
On weekends, my husband gets up with him in the night(to let me catch up on sleep) but didn’t get much sleep last night due to Jacob being fussy.
Today he has done a lot of crying also, not sure what the problem is.. He is sleeping now without being held, so that is a good thing Spoke too soon~now that I’m almost done typing this up, Jacob is awake~5 minute cat naps is what he is taking..Hopefully I will get some stuff done today..
I am looking into getting a sling/baby carrier~right now I keep looking at the Kozy, but not sure if hubby will let me spend that amount of money~but I do love that oneI did a lot of research yesterday with our insurance company and stuff and Jacob can go to see a specialist without a note from our family doctor, so now I just need to find one in our area.. I found one in Iowa, but we are gonna try to find one in Nebraska(that would be a closer drive for us).
I did find one, but he can’t be seen until August and that is just too long of a wait. I know there are plenty of ped GI’s in the area of Nebraska where we are looking, but I’m not sure which one to pick.
Where I live, I emailed our homeschool group to see if anyone sees a ped GI and got a couple responses, waiting to hear from one lady though. So hopefully in a day or two I will have a couple names and then I can place some calls..Thanks for being here ladies, I don’t know what I would do without you!!

I don’t know where in nebraska but it might be close to where you are looking. You can also look under the GI specialist link and many people have posted good and bad GI’s in their area. There might be one there as well. Hang in there is will get better. Our first 4 months were horrible b/c we were working on getting meds/formulas right and I hate to say this but until 12-13 months we didn’t get a whole lot of sleep here at night either. But it does get better, just can’t tell you when. I would pm laura about babywearing, she swears by it and I think she has a billion slings so she could probably recommend a great one.

May 24, 2008 at 9:19 pm #51756AnonymousInactiveWe are from NE!! Now I get it!! I pm’d you. Who is your pedi?? I had to push through my pedi to get to the specialist. That is really how you are going to get in earlier. Or you can fax, make never ending calls to your doc or the specialist looking for a cancellation. (as if you have nothing better to do!!!) It really sounds like you are needing to be seen.
