Amelia took her 2nd dose of Prevacid today at 7:30pm. She took her first last night about the same time. She was fussy this morning but went to sleep at 2pm and has only just barely woke up twice to eat a little and take her medicine.
I’m just a little concerned becasue she has never slept more than 3 hours before & usually sleeps more like 1-2 hours or less. She has slept 6 hours w/o eating today, then woke up to eat and has been sleeping another 3 and is still peaceful. Should I be concerned or is that normal? Should I wake her every few hours? SHe seems fine otherwise and even makes a little noise once in a while. No grunting and jerking in her sleep as always before. Can the prevacid work that fast? I will not sleep good unless I know this is normal.
She was already on the prilosec for 5 days which didn’t work too well. She has only had breast milk and some plain water with her prevacid today, no other medication or supliments whatsoever.
I’ll update more later in my other thread, I just really had to make sure this is normal behavior, I didn’t think infants would sleep more than a few hours at a time.
