Me again! My friend is in the middle of dealing with this and I know for me zegerid worked best, but I also know it’s very expensive. So, I am coming to you amazing moms to see what worked for your little bubs. Hope I’m allowed to say bubs even though I’m American. It’s always so cute when Evergreenie says it.
Zegerid for us, but I never tried any of the other options. We tried zantac and a compounded omeprazole (which did NOTHING). So my vote is zegerid all the way! (20mg packets)
Well, compounded Prevacid for my daughter, but that was back when I didn’t know any better. We tried the solutabs with Ben and I about went out of my mind trying to time those around a breastfeeding baby. So, all that to say that ZEGERID was the answer for us for sure!!!
The prevacid packets worked for us but we have far fewer options for our BUBS in Aus (it is just such the cutest thing to call your little one!) I was watching a story on compounding pharmacy’s today and we have some in Aus so next time, if there is a next time I might look into that (armed with the Marci kids instructions of course)
Don’t want to sound ignorant but Zegerit doesn’t need to be scheduled around feeding? For some reason I thought all PPIs need to be 30 minutes before eating
Owen was one of the few kids who really did well with compounded Prevacid. I always read on here that it wasn’t supposed to work but it definitely did for him!
