I am always hesitant to post in this section because it almost seems like tempting fate, but I’m going to risk it anyway!
Ben has now gone one week without his third dose of Zegerid!!!!
We have tried weaning before, but this has certainly been the most successful of any attempt, and I really think he can handle it now. He has even had a cold and an ear infection during this time, and is still doing fine without the third dose. That must mean something, right?
He has also been able to tolerate yogurt for over a month now. We tried cheese for about a week, but stopped after it seemed to bother him (but then he was diagnosed with the ear infection a few days later, so maybe that was it!) Anyway, we hope to try cheese and more milk maybe after attempting to drop another dose.
I will probably wait another week or so before we move on to another change (either another dose drop or more dairy), but I am so excited that we are FINALLY moving in this direction. I just hope that it’s not a fluke!
Just wanted to share what was up in the world of Benjamin! Thanks for reading.
