does anyone have a child with reflux who is extremely sleepy my daughter is 5 months old and doesnot stay up for more than 3 hours without getting sleepy she is taking zegerid and wondering if that may cause the sleepiness

OH, this is totally normal!! I think it’s pretty common for babies that age to take a nap every two hours. Evie still does and she’s almost 7 mos!

i was going to say that too! shane would be up for about 2 hours.. and be soo ready to go back to sleep. it actually worked well because dont they feed around every 3 hours at that age? i cant remember! but she sounds like she is doing well and right on track!

but Shanes whole thing was that he would only nap for 30 min’s! how long is your daughter napping during the day? if its an hour to two @ a time.. i would say thats normal.. if its like 3 hours to four.. i would say thats a lot of sleep.

Cooper is 7 months and the longest I can keep him awake happily is about 3.5hrs so 3hrs at 5months is great, I think we were at about 2.5hrs then and he took 3 1-1.5hr naps/day at that time.

no not three to four more like half hour she spits up like crazy and cant wait till she outgrows this

ohh well since its only 30 min. that DEF. explains why she is tired within 3 hours. hopefully as she gets older the nap will extend.. shane started to extend his around 7-8 mos old.

UGh! Beth you are so lucky. Kate sleeps every two to three hours but for a measly 30min too!!! It stinks because right when you start to do something BOOM, she’s up and ready to party! They say some kids are just cat-nappers but I’m still holding out hope that she’ll start taking longer naps one fo these days. I’d take sleep however it comes! Kate’s Mommy2007-09-26 21:01:30
