We lowered Dagney’s Prevacid dose from 30mg to 22.5 mg/day 2 weeks ago. Our GI also wanted us to begin a transition to Nutramigen after 1 week on the lower Prevacid dose. We waited until yesterday (almost 2 weeks on the lower dose), and we’ve added 1 oz of Nutramigen to each of her 3 bottles yesterday and today. She’s gotten at most 3 oz. of Nutramigen, but she hasn’t finished off all of her bottles, so she’s probably gotten less. Our concern is she’s started the gurggleing/clearing of the throat, and she even spit up a bit yesterday! Is this normal, or should we be concerned? I’m going to call the GI tomorrow anyway, but any input from anyone who has or hasn’t done this would be greatly appreciated!! (I should add that, and I posted this too earlier in the week, that we tried bananas early last week, which seemed to bother her, but any symptoms disappeared within a day or so of cutting them out again—I know, I don’t know what made me try them now, I guess I was just getting overly confident! She stopped bananas on Tuesday, and symptoms were gone by Thursday, so we waited until Saturday with the Nutramigen.)
