So, I’ve posted on here for a bit now about Ben cutting his first tooth. That was over 2 weeks ago now, and we are STILL waiting on the second one. One day it looks like it’s right on the surface about to pop through, he’s a cranky, drooly, fussy, growling, refluxing, hands in the mouth mess; and then the next day, no sign of the tooth, and he’s fine! It’s driving me bonkers!! Were in the world is this tooth? I’m tired of giving him tylenol all the time, and I so dread the thought of each new tooth he gets. Will he always act like this???
Anyway, I finally took him to get his pictures taken today. Poor second child.. it’s the first time for him, whereas Claire had hers taken religiously. I just never felt like he was doing well enough to take him. And now that he is nearing 1 yr. I wanted to get them in quick. Well, he woke up early this morning, slobbering, fussing, and the pictures were just a mess. I’m really bummed. He cried nearly the whole time. He’s usually a pretty happy guy, but the only picture we salvaged is one of him not smiling, but at least not crying either. We got a cute one of Claire though. The photographer had to take so many pictures, and Ben was done, so Claire jumped in for the last few.Just needed to gripe a bit.August 1, 2007 at 4:43 pm #40280AnonymousInactiveI am so sorry. We are I think working on #3 and well it seems as if we have been for about 10days now and I can’t look in Coop’s mouth to see, he won’t let me. I finally gave up on Tylenol and I only give it to him if he isn’t sleeping well. The poor thing takes so much medicine… I sure hope Ben’s 2nd one comes in soon… This whole teething thing really sucks.

Naomi, I agree. Teething sucks At least Ben has actually CUT a tooth so you know the whole process has officially started.Kate’s drooly, fussy, mad and there’s NO sign of a tooth.I look everyday HOPING!!! I hope Ben’s tooth has the courage to show it’s ugly self soon and put you all out of your misery I was just saying in another post I wish refluxers could skip the whole painful, fussy, yucky process. They’ve had enough of that without teething to last a lifetime. Do you think if we all get together and pray really hard God will think about it?August 2, 2007 at 8:47 am #40321AnonymousInactiveI hear your frustration! We’re going through the same thing here! Sarah only has 8 teeth and I wish they were all in. The ONLY tooth that came in easily for Sarah was her 2nd tooth. The rest of them have been pretty miserable for her. I can’t imagine what molars are going to be like.
I also understand about pictures. Sarah isn’t very photogenic, so even though we’ve taken her a few times to have pictures done…I’ve NEVER been happy with the results!!
Hang in there!! Hopefully one of these days the tooth will decide to come up and STAY up!
