Infantreflux.org | Ear infection?????

We were doing well, getting into a good sleep schedule and taking several small naps during the day, but over the last 2-3 weeks, we are getting no naps at all. When this all started he was touching his ear, but that was only for a few days. I did notice some extra ear wax in one ear. I’m thinking of getting one of those Ear Check devices. He is still sleeping ok at night maybe a little restless. We just recently started on the Similac Sensitive RS and some solid foods and the spitting up is decreasing, but he still has some big burps and a stuffy nose that won’t go away. Do you guys think the appearance of excessive ear wax could be an ear infection or is the reflux just giving him fits?????????????????

My son was really stuffy and congested with reflux, not so much with the ears. He also has a cough when his reflux meds aren’t right.

The not sleeping for us happens with both ears and reflux. I just took my son in on Tue b/c I thought his reflux meds weren’t working again, but he had a double ear infection! He hadn’t been sleeping well for 4 days.

That’s the fun of reflux, it keeps ya guessing! Gotta love it or you’ll go nuts!

Both of my sons have a lot of ear wax, can’t say it’s b/c of ear infections though. Don’t think there is a link btwn the two…….

your son is only 4 days older than mine and Cooper is cutting his first tooth. You may want to check his gums. I know it is early, but I am proof that they can cut a tooth this early. That could have to do with the ear grabbing and restless sleep and no naps. we are going through that with his teething. Just a thoughgt.
