Not sure if I should have put this under sleeping, but it really isn’t a sleeping issue, it is a crib/bumper issue. Since Cooper started rolling over on Friday, he has now learned how to do it in his crib as well. Which of course scares the heck out of me…. So I bought these breathable bumpers which make me feel much better however they aren’t as thick as your traditional bumpers and I have noticed that there is some space between the bumper and the matterss. Last night, Cooper was stirring and I went to check on him for the 5th time in like 3 hrs and he was on his tummy with his arm between the mattress and the bumper….. He can’t fit in the space but his arm can… Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? Should I just get over my suffocation fear and put back on his traditional bumpers or can I stuff something in the space so that he doesn’t get his arm/leg caught? I have ordered the angelcare monitor since I am terrified of SIDS now that he can roll to his belly. I know I am probably being overly paranoid, but as a first time mommy with a refluxer worry has become my other job besides being a mommy.
