Gabby has been pulling up to stand and cruising for about two months now. The last two weeks, I’ve seen her take 2-3 steps to get to the couch or window seat, so I knew she was gearing up. Last night, my husband and I sat about 3 feet apart and let Gabby take steps in between us. We kept backing up until she walked halfway across the room. She took 15 steps! She is only 18ish lbs and petite so she looks so funny. By next month, I bet she will be running. Boy am I in trouble.

Yay! That is great news!!!! I LOVE it now that Sarah is walking. It’s so much easier! I don’t have to worry about her getting so dirty from mopping my floors with her belly! I hope you find walking to be enjoyable as well!

Congratulations! I agree with Amy. For me it was much easier once my kids were walking. They just seemed happier to be able to explore more, and I could get more things done While it’s true she’ll be ready to get into more things, you can do a good job of babyproofing and save yourself a lot of hassle!

Now, if Caden will just start crawling, he will be happier. He gets frustrated now, because he wants to reach a toy, but he can’t quite figure out how to get there. He kicks and squirms on his tummy but can’t get himself to move yet. I’m sure it will happen soon enough. He has actually gotten himself to scoot a bit on his bottom recently! I wonder if he’ll be one of those babies who scoots around on his bottom. I have a friend whose baby did that – it looked so funny but cute too

Girls do figure it out earlier than boys, don’t they?? My little guy is 15-1/2 months old and in the past few days has decided he is finally ready to walk. Today, he has taken off full blast – none of that crawling stuff for him. Let’s see, Gabby will be doing ballet or gymnastics or something by the time she is 15-1/2 mths old. 🙂 Way to go, girl!
