It went well! This one will be thru children’s hospital but we are still keeping him in group therapy thru Early Intervention. We really like the therapist that he will be working with. She said he def needs therapy for fine motor, oral and sensory. This therapist actually got Isaac to act like he does for us! Usually he acts so “normal” for everyone. She mentioned that his jaw is weak and that is probably why he won’t eat crunchy food. My dh and I are very excited! To start he will be seeing her once a week-not until he gets off the waiting list (there is a waiting list for the evaluation then another waiting list for therapy sessions) Just thought I would share an update on Isaac!

Great news!! Thanks for sharing. I often wonder how Isaac is doing. I’m happy to hear that he will be seeing the therapist once a week until he gets off the waiting list. I hope he makes lots of progress with her and that the wait isn’t too long.

That’s great! I’m a big believer in therapy (not that I’m biased or anything… I’m an OT), and I hope that the therapist is the answer for Isaac. Too bad about the wait list. How long is it?

Christine-I try not to post too much negative on here and scare away the newbies lol.

Therese-It really restores my faith too! It has taken a long time to get to where we are now.

Lori-I had no idea that you were an OT! We are really hoping that this therapist can change Isaac. The jaw weakness sounds totally right when I look up the symptoms…It is sad that it took this long for someone to notice though since he already sees an OT thru EI. The waiting list is really indefinite. I have to call every tuesday morning until they have an opening. The OT said it shouldn’t be longer than a month and if we have any problems before then to just call her. How is Hailey doing? It really encourages me to hear that she is really progressing!
