Ahhh, the mysterious purple poo. I think I’ve figured it out. There must be some chemical reaction that takes place when Sarah’s poo hits her Desitin covered butt!!!
I have noticed now 3 or 4 times that when she has a diaper rash and I coat her butt with Desitin, the next poopy diaper has a purplish tint to it. Almost irridescent looking. That MUST be it! The original poop that seemed purple all over must have sat a while longer before I was able to change her…therefore giving the Desitin and Poo more time to interact. Do you like my scientific hypothesis? 
No really, I do think that was the problem, but I CAN’T believe no one else has had this happen before!!! Ohhhhh!!!!! That has happened to Addy tons..more often when she was younger and had a HUGE problem with rashes and we would put literally half of the tube of desitin on her behind. I am glad you figured it out…I always chalked it up to another weird condition that she had. THANKS for posting!
