Wow I am in awe! I hope it goes well! Audrey is about the same age, and sadly I dont think we are close to that yet….keep us posted….
March 30, 2007 at 6:46 am #28996AnonymousInactiveSo far so good I think. She is battling the remnants of a cold and teeth but she is doing OK. We have a few good nights then a rough one but not rough enough for me to think about returning to the meds at this stage. And during the day she is fantastic…crawling everywhere and trying to stand up.
I have worked out that her naps during the day are dependent on the environment (including the person). I can get her to nap for about 90mins at home. But at daycare its like 30 mins or not at all…but she sits up in her cot and looks out at all the kids playing in the other room…and wants to join them…who needs sleep!!!! Apparently regulations say the door to the sleep room has to be open and the wall has to have windows or something like that and the light has to be on…who is going to sleep through that!!!
Shannon is Audreys birthday the 13th July…if so thats Alana’s and our tickers say different ages….
March 30, 2007 at 9:32 am #29015AnonymousInactiveI’m glad to hear she’s doing well without the Zoton. I hope her cold passes soon. Ugg…I hate colds.
Crawling and trying to stand….they’ll be no stopping her soon!
The door open and lights on at nap time? No wonder she doesn’t sleep at daycare.
March 31, 2007 at 8:20 pm #29162AnonymousInactiveThat’s great, hurrah for Alana!!
April 1, 2007 at 12:48 am #29177AnonymousInactiveAnother full nights sleep last night. Things are looking good. Gee I hope I’m not speaking to soon

April 1, 2007 at 7:21 pm #29238AnonymousInactiveOK, well last night was not so good. Up a few times. Well i put some medijel on her gums at one stage and she screamed when I touched them. (The same scream that she woke up with maybe 3 times previousl). I gave her some pandadol around 2am and didn’t hear a peep out of her again until this morning. I really think the occasional bad nights might be teething at the stage. i can’t hear her refluxing ( i slept in her room when it became apparent she was unsettled) whihc was a sure sign before meds. Well we will see how things go.
April 2, 2007 at 9:55 am #29274AnonymousInactiveIt does sound like teething. Teething is such a nightmare for some babies. Two of my babies slept poorly when they were teething despite being good sleepers otherwise. I hope those teeth pop out soon so she can sleep restfully again.
How long has she been without meds now?
April 2, 2007 at 2:43 pm #29297AnonymousInactiveI would think it is teething too…we always know when Brianna is getting a tooth becuase the night waking starts again…and the drool is everywhere …and she gets the hiccups…crazy I know but as soon as the hiccups start we know a tooth is not far behind. Keep us updated on the no Zoton.
April 2, 2007 at 7:05 pm #29323AnonymousInactive9 days now of meds. I am pretty sure teething is the culprit…there is no way she is letting me touch those gums. Her mouth is clenched tightly closed all the time.
The other things that is happening is when she moves around in bed at night she keeps on hitting her head on the side of the cot. I hear her cry and 9 times out of 10 she is squashed up against the bars. Not sure how to fix that one.
April 2, 2007 at 8:59 pm #29344AnonymousInactiveMyles does that too. I can understand it at Alana’s age but Myles is 18 months old and he still gets very upset if he ends up with his head wedged into one of the corners of his crib. I don’t know why he doesn’t just roll over and move away from the corner. He prefers to lay there and scream until mommy comes. He gets his legs caught between the corner slats often too.
April 2, 2007 at 11:15 pm #29363AnonymousInactiveYeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope it continues. It is so nice to not have to mess with the meds. Justice’smom2007-4-2 23:16:3
April 3, 2007 at 11:49 am #29384AnonymousInactiveAWESOME!
April 3, 2007 at 8:03 pm #29440AnonymousInactiveWell I am glad you are riding this rollercoaster with me
Last night…slept through the night without a peap. Of course I woke up a couple of times thinking….oh my god is she breathing (I have an angel care monitor so you can see I am a bit of a worry wort).
I’m thinking we might have nearly 75% kicked the arse of GERD…maybe not totally but enough to go meds free with maybe some backup mylanta or gaviscon. Oh I hope I;m not speaking to soon
