Well…Alana has worked out that she can “sit” in her cot. She was fussing tonight in bed when all went quiet. I went to check thinking I would put her blanket over here and So there she is just sitting there in the dark peering through the bars! She’s still doing that 30 mins later….
She is also progressing on the crawling front. She can go maybe a metre forward now…usually to me so that I pick her up!!!!! Also the puppies are a great incentive….but are clever enough to move as soon as she gets close enough.

My niece used to fall asleep sitting up in her crib because once she learned to sit up she would fight sleep by refusing to lay down. My sister used to go in and push her down once she dozed off sitting up with her head hanging down.
She is so ADORABLE!!! I could just pick her up and hug her!! Good job Alana – be sure to keep Mommy guessing as to what you are going to do next

Isn’t it amazing when they learn to do things! I remember I was folding laundry and Sarah was laying near me. Next thing I know, I look over and she’s sitting up!!! I thought I was imagining things! Here’s a pic. of Sarah the first time I went to get her from a nap and she was sitting up.

She’ll be standing in the crib before you know it! Amy, that’s a great picture of Sarah. She looks like she’s in deep thought, “Hmm…I wonder when mommy is going to come and get me out of this crib?”
Update…she can get where she wants to go now
. I can still catch her though…not for long unless I lose my belly roll (see other post)
