yep, it’s “slap face”, very weird virus in my opinion. I had it when I was about ten, and it came back when I was about 16 (in the high school cafeteria of all places). He hasn’t gotten the rash yet, so maybe it WAS just a flukey thing, but usually the rash doesn’t appear until a few days after the fever. Luckily once the rash is out you’re no longer contagious, you just look very strange!
I’m sort of hunting around for Dr’s, it’s a hard descision. My sister’s MIL is a nurse at a ped’s office and she takes my nephews there, but I’m not sure about doing that. My 27 month old nephew was constipated from about 6 months to just recently when my sister FINALLY took my advice and bought some flax seed oil, he was previously on lactulose, and had become very dependent on it to go.
Her MIL’s reaction to that was “Thank Goodness it’s about time”….makes me nutsthat she knew the whole time it would help him but never said a word (but she gives them antibiotic samples all the time “just in case” they think the kids have an ear infection or other bacterial thing).
I think I might let things slide this time, after all, this is the ped who put Aidan on 30 mg of prevacid at 2 months…which was a minor miracle. I think I’ll give it a few months and see how things are…
sorry this is so long…!!!
