Have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous before or what? After our disaster with our allergist this week and really no other options of going anywhere else I decided to call our 2nd specialist that we saw. They will not see him as a returning patient until it has been 1 year since his last visit. So this means we have to go 5-1/2 months before we can see him. I questioned the nurse and she stated that was their policy. I have always heard that a new patient usually takes longer to get in but not once you are a patient it is a little easier to get an appt. What is up with 1 year waiting period?

Has anyone else had to do this before?

we can only get in when we make an appointment. like we went when shane was 5 months old… and before we left we had to make it for when he was 9 months old. soo if something came up inbetween those months i couldnt get in unless it was probably an emergency. everytime i have called the nurse will only talk to me..

soo i guess a year is probably a long time ..and kinda crazy.. i thought 4 months was long!

I don’t understand because he had appts before that were 2-3 months wait at this dr.s office but the nurse would not schedule anything sooner than a year since his last appt.

I was never able to talk to the dr & it would take 1-2 wks to get a script. In the end I change dr.’s because they would change his appt. because the dr would not be there and what went from a 2-3 month wait went to 5 months.

It just seems odd waiting a year!

Sounds like he has too many patients and not nearly enough compassion!
