SO excited to share with everyone that we met with the new GI doc today and he was completely AWESOME! He spent a full hour with us, listened to our concerns, made some suggestions for what our next steps will be, explained things so well, and did not brush us off like the last one did. I am so happy I could do cartwheels.
He started Jacob on a low dose of Erythromycin, which we have high hopes for. I am hoping this will work, but if not I am confident that we will figure it out eventually with this new doc on our side. I am so, so relieved. If anyone is looking for a great doc in the Atlanta area, his name is Dr. Larry Saripkin. A really great guy.Question – are there any “rules” I need to know about the erythromycin….like timing with the Prevacid, etc?

Great news!! I’m so glad you found a doctor that you like. He seems really good. You don’t have to time the Erythromycin around food. In fact some babies do better taking it with food because it can cause tummy cramps for some babies. Bryce has never had a problem with it, so we just give it to him with his Prevacid three times a day.Good luck with it! I hope it does the trick for Jacob.
