Hi All,

Dagney is switching over to Neocate now, and I was just wondering how everyone pays for it, it’s so expensive! I called the insurance, and it’s not covered, but I am waiting to hear back from Apria to see if I can get it covered that way. If they say no, does anyone have any other suggestions??

Do you qualify for WIC? I know they will pay for a certain number of cans if you get a prescription from your doctor. Also I used to buy mine off of Ebay. The person I bought mine from isn’t doing so good anymore so I won’t bother giving you his name. But there are people on there that have been selling for a long time and you can get it for almost half the price. Its just a personal thing in that either you feel safe doing it or not.

i get Wic to give us 8 cans a month. then i get 5 more from medicaid.

I just heard back from Apria and my insurance will pay for the Neocate at 100%!!! I am SO relieved! I feel like dancing down the street (Oh what simple things make us happy now!)

That is wonderful!!!! It makes me so mad to think that an insurance company would even entertain the thought of not covering something for an infant!!! Good luck.
