Hi Everyone
Havent really posted too much lately, been so busy with work and the kids. I just wanted to give you a quick update on us and to give some hope to those of you that are struggling. When I first visited this board I was always looking for success stories so I knew that there was going to be an end to all of this, so I thought I would share ours.
Tyler is finally off the Elecare and eating a normal diet.. He is onto his sixth week of dairy and so far everything is good. He is eating all foods except for apples, pears, and nuts. It was only six months ago when he could only tolerate a total of five foods. No reflux to speak of, no mucous or rashes. All is finally good.
I think that about 11 months was the turning point for us, everything just started getting easier. Tyler is such a great child now, the only remnants from the reflux days is his short temper but we will never know if the reflux caused that or not.
Just wanted to let you all know that it does get easier and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. If we hadn’t of found our great GI doc I hate to imagine where we would be now, so I owe her alot.
This past 18 months were the hardest of my life and I could never go through it again, but thanks to everyone on this board for all your support.
