wins are taking 1 cc 4 times daily of mylanta along with zantac 3 xsa daily for reflux. i read something about it containing aluminum:? Excuse me foir being stupid but what does that mean and how dangerous is it? We use the classic?

Welcome to the site, and you are not being stupid!

I don’t think the content of aluminum is enough to hurt the little ones, but the Mylanta Cherry Supreme is calcium based, so that is the one we used. Can you get Cherry Supreme in your area?

Our ped GI said that the aluminum isn’t enough to cause a problem. She said that they would have to consume huge quantities of mylanta over a long period of time before the aluminum became an issue. We were still really nervous about it though, so we used the Mylanta Cherry Supreme.
