Myles is finally walking. He just stood up in the hallway two nights ago and walked four or five steps, fell down, got up and did it over and over again until he was exhausted.

The next day (yesterday) he wouldn’t walk at all. He’s stubborn and he just didn’t want to, but today he’s walking when he wants to. The girls get such a big kick out of it and they are so proud of him. Mommy’s proud but mostly relieved.

Yeah for Miles – that is such great news. Nothing cuter than a little walker!! You never know when they are going to surprise you.

Abby is still not totally crawling but she is pulling herself around on her belly so it is kind of a modified crawling. She gets so torqued off when she wants to move and can’t – I can just see the frustration.

Again – great news!!

Allright! That’s awesome! I know how it feels to be so stressed out over those “milestones” Austin didn’t walk until 15ish months, and Aidan just isn’t “talking” as well as he should, but he is walking (literally walked across the room for the first time today after I put his “first walker” shoes on him). Austin was the opposite, no interest in walking whatsoever, but talked up a storm at one.

I love the “drunken stumble” little walkers start to do when they get really tired!!!!

Thanks everyone!

Wow! Aidan’s walking already? What a big boy! I’m sure he’ll be talking soon, too. Myles only says about 5 or 6 words. The girls were talking much more at this age. I’m not worried (at least not yet!).

My daughter didn’t walk until 15 months either but she talked a lot by then. I think it’s just different with each kid, and especially with younger siblings… the older ones say it all for them, so they don’t feel the need. My mother was worried that my younger brother had hearing problems because he didn’t talk for a long time. I think it was just that my other brother and I knew what he needed, so he didn’t have to. Once he started though, he jumped right away to sentences.. it was like it was in there all along.
