I believe if your employment changes the plan then they would cover meds. However if you are paying for your own insurance I don’t know if they would consider it a pre-existing condition. I can’t think of who it is but someone on here works for blue cross blue shield and maybe they will respond.
We will be switching insurance soon too due to dh changing jobs. I talked to their benefit person and she told me preexisting conditions would be covered as long as there were no lapses in between coverages.
I switched coverages and to my benefit the medications were actually cheaper. It’s too bad there isn’t a place where people explain insurance coverages and issues better. It can be very confusing.
