My dd is 28 months & has not outgrown it. She has had every test in the book & she has no physical abnormalities, etc, etc, etc. They finally quit telling us she would outgrow it & that she might outgrow it when shes older or she may never outgrow this. She is at the point though that if she gets a bit of it during the day now she asks me for a TUMS. They have the dissolvable ones now. I still give her Prevacid though. We are going on a 3 week trip in March so after we are back & settled & back to a routine, we may try weaning again for the heck of it.
By the way, not only has my dd had all the normal reflux tests, she has had allergy testing, we even went with wheat free diet, gluten free diet, dairy free diet, soy free diet (not all at the same time) & there was no change. She has had every metabolic test done & she was deemed healthy in that aspect. The only thing that my dd is dealing with now along with her reflux is that she is in feeding therapy as we found out that she didn’t have a food aversion but they saw that she did not know how to chew food properly. She was trying to chew with her front teeth instead instead of molars & she got tired of chewing & just gave up. She has been doing better though.
