Funny. I did a search for aloe vera and couldn’t find much. I figured it all got lost with the site problems. Then I went into the “help” forum, and someone else posted about it today! Still didn’t say much about if it worked or not. I’ll have to talk to them.

Janice,
I posted on this topic [probiotics- hellbennt is adding this in] recently, but can’t get back to it with our hacking problems. anyway, there are several moms who have used them [probiotics- hellbennt is adding this in] and my chiropractor suggested we use it for Lucas. I’ve not been religious about using it recently with vacations and summer stuff going on. My chiro said that it would help to heal the “gut” and get everything back to where it should be. Lucas has never been on antibiotics, and yet she still thought it would be a good idea for us. She also suggested using aloe vera to help heal any irritated spots in the esophagus/stomach. Lucas has been on ppis for several months, and even though these stop acid production to allow the body to heal itself, in themselves, they do not promote healing. Aloe vera is a healing agent. If you are interested in info on the aloe vera, my doc said only get liquid organic aloe vera that has to be refrigerated. I bought Lily of the Desert brand. Lucas makes a face, but doesn’t seem to mind taking it. I still give it in a syringe like it’s medicine.
Aidan’s doc said that was the only drawback but said it wasn’t common, if you google aloe vera juice, there’s plenty of info on it, what it does side effects..etc. I know some on this board have used ti, I just like to err on the side of caution. Or you could do a search for it on here, there are a number of past posts about it.
