Dr Bobo has been a godsend to us in Toledo, Ohio
He’s also in Lima, Sandusky and BG.
Is there anyone going to him now?
Have you mentioned the marci-kids dosing to him?
August 20, 2006 at 9:40 am #11664AnonymousInactiveI’m in Fostoria, Ohio about an hour south of Toledo. We saw Dr. Bobo from
nov. 2003 to oct. 2004 he was also a godsend to us. We saw him at the BG
office. I found that whenever we needed dosage increases all I had to do was
bring a printout of weight increases also with high and low dose figures and
he always gave us the increase. Marci-kids wasn’t around when we were
patients but if he’s the same as when we saw him I believe he’d be receptive
with the dosing. Good luck and I’m glad to see someone from my area here!!
It’s a small world!!

Where did you get the chart from? He may have changed his thinking a bit, because everytime I ask about increasing my sons meds, he looks at Henry’s info and says, “nope. we’re maxed out already.”
I haven’t suggested the Marci-kids dosing to him though. I was kinda nervous that it would sound like -“hey, you don’t know what you’re talking about so here, look at this.” You know?
I was thinking of asking him to switch the prevacid to something else maybe and see what happens.
We actually live in Fremont and I work in Perrysburg. It is a small world.

I didn’t have an actual “chart” that I used, but what I did was actually
wrote
out Aidan’s current weight converted it to kilos and did the math……don’t
quote me cause I’m not sure if dosages have changed since we used
prevacid…..but I used the 1.5 mgs per kilo as a low dose and 3 mgs per
kilo
for a high dose. When Aidan was 9 months old (I wish I could tell you his
exact weight, however his baby book is sadly empty for this period of his
life) we were approved for up to 30mgs a day. Split or however I wanted
to
do the dose. I would think that your son being a year that he’d be willing
to
allow you to try it. I was always firm about what I wanted and went in
knowing what we wanted to do. I never was rude but do consider myself
pushy with my kiddos . If anything maybe ask him to “humor” you and
allow you to try a higher dose? Hope this helps….I always kinda thought
with bringing the math in he saw that I knew what would be
acceptable….maybe that would help him “see” your side of things. Hope
this helps!!

Hi Amber! I owe you an e-mail! How’s Aidan doing these days? I see your signature is updated, so I was curious how it is going?
August 21, 2006 at 3:44 pm #11808AnonymousInactiveThanks Amber. I’ll try to call again today. Otherwise it’ll be a while
Hi Ann Marie. Thanks! I really feel like I need it. I’m sooo nervous! I don’t know the sex, but my husband does He doesn’t like surprises and has done fantastic hiding it from me. I just want to be surprised this time. The only surprise you can have in life anymore.
August 21, 2006 at 3:46 pm #11810AnonymousInactiveCarter was our second c-section (and our last!). You will do great!!! Just remember to line up some help for when you get home. Even if they just help with Henry that will make things easier.
Good Luck and post when you get a minute. Now I want to know if it’s a boy or a girl!!
August 21, 2006 at 6:46 pm #11837AnonymousInactiveGot it covered We’re dropping Henry off with all his “stuff” on Tue. night. He’ll be gone for a week. It’ll give me time to heal and just to settle in. They’d keep him longer if I need as well. I’m sure I’ll miss him madly though!
I’ll definitely let everyone know what happens. Just as soon as I can
