We accidentally skipped one dose of Pepcid at bedtime last night and the night went horrible! We had a long fun filled day with the holiday yesterday. He may have had something to eat he shouldn’t have. I know for sure he had handfuls of dirt and things off the ground

We were all off schedule with naps and feedings. Thought for sure he’d sleep like a rock and we’d be sleeping in this morning. Could one skipped dose of pepcid make things that bad??? I can’t even explain how many times he woke us up last night with his crying and screaming. I’m due with another baby in about 7 weeks. I just can’t take the no sleep thing. Well, I guess I better get used to it huh? It’s just sooo draining when you have to be up and you have to try to console your child due to pain. It’s very mentally challenging.

With all my venting- So, my question… would one dose of pepcid missed do all that???

Thanks for listening. Just had to let it out this morning.

A missed dose can cause all that trouble. Also the wierdest thing I learned on here is that naps help your baby sleep at night. My son wasn’t sleeping good during the day and someone suggested that may be the reason he wasn’t sleeping good at night. We started making it a habit to be home during naps so he could take longer naps and sleep better. Sure enough he started sleeping better at night. Now for us a skipped nap means no sleep at night. Colt is the same age as your son so I feel for you. They want to be outside and into everything but naps are getting harder and harder. If he has gained any weight it may be time for an increase in his dosage too.

The missed Pepcid was probably a contributing factor but more than
anything I’d guess it was overtiredness/overstimulation. A lot of
babies, if they get too stimulated, miss naps, etc – will sleep poorly
at night, have night terrors, etc.
